Skate-Punk? Kann doch jeder!
Auf dieser einfachen Grundlage gründen Bux (git/voc), Tobi (bass/voc) und
Mr. Doom (drums) im Sommer 2007 die Band Starbax. Mit Vollgas und gerade um
diese These noch zu unterstreichen geht‘s nach 3 Proben auch schon direkt
ins Studio um die erste Demo-EP einzuspielen. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit
erspielen sich die drei Jungs im lokalen und regionalen Raum blitzschnell
einen Namen und erfreuen sich seither einer stetig wachsenden Fangemeinde.
Die ersten Achtungserfolge lassen nicht lange auf sich warten. Bei
verschiedenen Contests und Supportshows für namhafte Bands zeigt sich 2008
endgültig, dass Starbax alles andere als eine musikalische Eintagsfliege
ist. Folglich wird ganz nach „Starbax-Highspeed-Manier“ im Frühjahr 2009 das
erste Album „Hits to go“ aufgenommen.
Equal Athletics wird auf die drei Jungs aufmerksam. Die Konzert- und
Erfolgsreise geht für Starbax genauso ransant weiter, ab jetzt allerdings
mit lässiger skatepunkgebührender Kleidung und hilfreicher Unterstützung.
Dass Starbax eine vielversprechende junge Band ist, findet auch Ferrero
Kinder Maxi King und schickt die Jungs im Januar 2010 unter dem Banner
„Royal Soundz – Talents on Tour“ auf 10-tägige Deutschlandtour, was wiederum
die Aufmerkamkeit von TV und Radio weckt.
Kaum zurück von der Deutschlandberockung arbeiten die drei auch schon an
neuen ohrwurmverdächtigen Songs, die Ende Februar 2009 im Studio ihren Weg
auf die Platte finden.
Und das ist auch gut so! Denn wer Starbax einmal live auf der Bühne erlebt
wird zum Freund, ganz egal wo man musikalisch zu Hause ist. Die Kombination
aus eingängigen Melodien, rauen Gitarren -Sounds und einer absolut
energiegeladenen und authentischen Bühnenshow ist das Erfolgsgeheimnis der
drei Jungs. Was Starbax ausmacht ist die unaufhaltsam gute Laune und
Lebensfreude die sie mit ihrer Musik und ihren Auftritten verbreiten, damit
bringen sie selbst größte Tanzmuffel zum Zappeln. Das ist doch, was eine
perfekt gelungene Veranstaltung braucht, Starbax eben…!

Bux (git/voc), Tobi (bass/voc) and Mr Dom (drums) started the band ‘Starbax’
in summer 2007. And to prove the point of “everyone can do it”, just after 3
sessions the band goes straight to the studio to record their first Demo-EP.
Within a very short time the three guys have become well known both locally
and regionally hence rapidly increasing their following.
Their success hasn’t been a long time coming. Finally in 2008 in different
contests and support shows, ‘Starbax’ were proven not just being a flash in
the pan. Therefore ‘Starbax’ records their first album ‘Hit’s to go’ in
early 2009.
‘Starbax’ gets recognition by ‘Equal Athletics’. The concert and
success-trips happens with cool skate-punk outfit and helpful support.
Ferrero ‘MAXI-King’ also sees in ‘Starbax’ a promising band and sends the
boys on a 10-day ‘Royal-Soundz-Talents on Tour’ journey in January 2010.
This Germany-tour also attracts the interest of TV and Radio stations.
Just being back from their successful rock tour the three guys go back to
work to produce more catchy tunes. A new record is born in February 2010.
And this is how it’s supposed to be! You will become a friend immediately
once hear them play live on stage, no matter what your musical preferences
might be. A combination of distinctive melodies, rough guitar-sounds and an
authentic and energetic show is the key to success for the band. What
summarises ‘Starbax’ is their high spirit and lust for life which they
reflect in their music and appearance. Even the biggest grumps shake their
booty. That’s what a perfect entertainment is all about – ‘Starbax’!
